A planetarium projector is an instrument which artificially reproduces the starry heavens on a large curved surface called the dome. Viewers sit in tilted-back seats looking up at the stars and planets. Many other projectors are used to add other special effects such as, meteor showers, bolide meteors, rotating planets, colored lighting, auroras, rainbows, clouds, panorama scenes, and a variety of pictures to illustrate the subject being taught. All of this together is called a planetarium. Most of the programs are fully computer controlled. We welcome you to schedule a group of 20 or more people by calling 706-337-2775. You can choose the programs you would like to see.
